Chase Ramsey is excited to join McNeil High School as the Director of Bands, where he brings over a decade of experience as a music educator, conductor, and leader. With a deep commitment to musical excellence and student development, Mr. Ramsey continues to inspire young musicians through a program rooted in integrity, connection, and purpose.

A native of Tennessee, Mr. Ramsey earned dual degrees in Music Education and Music Performance from Tennessee Technological University. His collegiate career was shaped by strong academic and performance experiences, including his time with the Music City Drum and Bugle Corps, where he served as drum major in 2011 and 2012. He later returned to the organization as Corps Manager from 2015 to 2017, overseeing operational growth and organizational development. Mr. Ramsey began his teaching career in Tennessee before relocating to Texas in 2018 to join the band staff at Killeen High School.. In 2022, he became Director of Bands at East View High School in Georgetown, TX.

Mr. Ramsey’s leadership philosophy is grounded in servant leadership—planting seeds, watering them, and cultivating students who develop connection through trust, a growth mindset, and a sense of ownership and empowerment. His goal is not only to lead but to elevate others, fostering leaders who lead with compassion, intention, and purpose. His teaching philosophy centers on building a culture where every student feels seen, valued, and connected. He believes that music education should be a space where students discover both their voice and their belonging.

Outside the classroom, Mr. Ramsey is an avid reader, hiker, and lifelong learner. He enjoys exercising, and is always on the hunt for the best cup of coffee wherever his travels take him. These hobbies fuel his creativity, curiosity, and personal growth, which he brings back to his students each day.

At McNeil High School, Mr. Ramsey is honored to continue his journey of building musical excellence, community, and meaningful experiences that last far beyond the final note.
